Dr. Paul V Williams

about

I was born and raised in Seattle, attended high school at Seattle Prep, college at Seattle University, and medical school at the University of Washington.  I did my pediatric training at the University of Rochester in upstate New York.  After completing my pediatric training, I returned to Washington and started practicing pediatrics at the Skagit Valley Medical Center in 1978.  While in pediatrics, I served as a county coordinator for the Pediatric Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services program coordinated by Seattle Children’s Hospital and was also team physician for Mount Vernon High School.
In 1988 I decided to concentrate on a new specialty, Allergy & Immunology, so returned to the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital for specialized training in Allergy & Immunology.  I completed my training in 1991 and joined Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center at that time, and still work for that group in their Mount Vernon and Everett offices.
I have served as president of the Skagit-Island Counties Medical Society, president of the Washington State Society of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, and hold leadership positions currently in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
I am also interested in community service.  I was president of the Skagit-Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club, President of the Board of Directors for the Skagit Preschool and Resource Center (SPARC), a Little League Umpire for 15 years, and a District Administrator for Little League for 10 years, overseeing Little League programs in Skagit, Island and San Juan Counties.  Since moving to Camano Island in 2005, I have volunteered for the Levy Support Committee for Stanwood-Camano Fire and Rescue Department (now Camano Fire and Rescue) and a volunteer for the Stanwood-Camano Emergency Operations Center.  I frequently attend the Board of Commissioners meetings for Camano Island Fire & Rescue and have had several opportunities to work with the leadership of that department.
I am married to Gina, a retired small business owner, and the father and stepfather to 6 wonderful adult children, Paul, Allyson, Jillian, Wesley, Taryn, and AJ (deceased); and proud “Papa” to 5 grandchildren: Brenden, Nolan, Lili, Jenna and Ethan.
